OVERVIEW |
|
I am an Information Specialist and have worked in
energy research and development, higher education, and public
education.
I have worked with local companies, school districts and other organizations
in northeast Ohio, helping them establish an Internet presence and
meeting their training needs. I was one of the developers of StarkNet,
the Stark County education computer network, and I set up the first
web servers at both the county and local school district levels.
I trained network administrators to manage their own web sites and
instructed teachers and librarians in classroom Internet use. I
have had a keen interest in promoting web-based technologies as
instructional media, and also in encouraging the use of computer-mediated
communications, including videoconferencing. I have a Master's Degree
from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Library and
Information Science, and my undergraduate degree is in English.
I also have prior experience in public relations and writing. |
